Welcome to Early Learning Open House (All ages)
Explore the preschool and ECFE classrooms, sign up for our programs and special events, and meet our Early Learning staff. We will also have a scavenger hunt, crafts, and an obstacle course. There is no cost to attend and all families will leave with a free book, some stickers and smiles galore!

Fun on the Farm (Birth-6 years)
Where does milk come from? Experience farm life, watch how they milk a cow, and make a jar of butter to take home! We will ride the school bus to Zweber Farms in Elko New Market. Bus pick-up will take place at the Central Education Campus at 5:30 pm and Eagle View Elementary at 5:50 pm, returning by 7:30 pm. When registering, please indicate which pick up location you choose.

ECFE in the Park (All ages)
Join a licensed parent educator to explore area parks! Enjoy time with your child outdoors playing at the park, participating in different activities, and a short circle time. Parents must stay and supervise their children for the duration of the class. Childcare providers are welcome. Pack a lunch and enjoy a picnic with your child once class is over! Registration is required so we have enough supplies.

Newborn Talk (Birth-16 weeks)
Congratulations on the arrival of your baby! This class is for parents with babies 0-16 weeks. A nurse and parent educator will be available to answer questions about your newborn and provide support, connection and resources. Some topics include feeding, sleeping, attachment, development and returning to work. We will also offer weekly baby weight checks! This class is free and registration is not required.

Baby and Me (Birth-18 months)
Enjoy special time with your little one! This non-separating class is for parents and their babies to connect through songs, simple games and exercises. We'll also discuss common baby topics like feeding, sleeping, soothing and adjusting to parenthood.

Movin' On Up (12-23 months)
Come and explore the toddler room with your child! The classroom will be set up with age-appropriate activities. Class will end with an engaging circle time and parenting tips. This is a non-separating class.

Fun One's (12-23 months)
You and your child will love playing together and exploring the toddler classroom! Enjoy the first half of class playing, learning, and singing at circle time, then separate to talk about toddler topics like healthy separation, positive parenting, setting limits and more.

Toddler Time Evening (18-35 months)
It’s a busy time for your child! They are growing and changing quickly. This class will have wonderful developmental activities for you and your child to explore. After an engaging circle time, parents will separate to discuss parenting topics important and relevant topics. (There may be a gradual separation depending upon needs of the children.)

Peek into Preschool (2 ½-4 years)
Is your child attending preschool next year? Get them excited and prepared for school by joining us for a great introduction to the routines and structure of preschool. This class will include parent/child school readiness activities and circle time. At separation time, children will explore the learning centers and have a reading circle time. Parents discuss ways to help get preschoolers ready for kindergarten and other parenting topics of their choice.

Evening Preschool with Parents (3-5 years) - - Just a few spots left!
Come and explore the preschool classroom with your child! This class includes parent/child school readiness activities and circle time. Parents separate for the last half of class and discuss parenting topics of their choice.

Preschool Plus (3-5 years)
This class is for families whose children are currently attending preschool or are planning to start preschool next year. Parents and children will spend the first half of class participating in fun learning activities together, then children will remain in the preschool classroom with the teacher while parents meet with a parent educator to discuss topics like getting children ready for preschool and kindergarten, development of family relationships, discipline and behavior.

Magnificent Mondays at Eagle View (3 months-4 years)
You and your child will love playing together and exploring the toddler classroom with activities selected for this age. Enjoy the first half of class together playing, learning, and singing at circle time. After circle time, parents will go to a separate room to meet with the parent teacher to talk about healthy separation, positive parenting, setting limits and other issues important to the group.

NEW! ECFE Outdoors (3 months-5 years)
Together, parents and children will explore nature through a variety of experiential, hands-on outdoor activities. Dress for outdoor play and the weather as we will begin each class in our outdoor classroom at Falcon Ridge Elementary. After circle time, children will stay outdoors with the classroom teacher while parents go indoors for a parent educator-led discussion about ways to support and engage children in nature.

Fabulous Fridays at Eagle View (3 months-4 years)
Attend class with all of your children or just one! Learning activities will be family focused and there will be something for all ages. Parent time will cover family relationships and topics that are important to all ages. Class includes parent-child time, circle time, and separation.

Drop-in Classes
Walk and Talk (Parents of children under 8)
Parents and caregivers are invited to take this opportunity to connect with others while getting in some steps! There will be a discussion question, parenting tip and resources shared each week based on the interests of the group. The class is free but you do need to register for sibling care ($20 per family per session).

Choose to stay and play with your child or drop them off and enjoy an hour to yourself! A teacher will be in the classroom to provide a nurturing environment, movement, fun songs at circle time, and learning activities to encourage your child’s growth and independence.

Movin' & Groovin' in the Gym (Birth-5 years)
Join us each week for unstructured motor time in the CEC gym for the first hour, then end class with a group activity led by a teacher.

Early Childhood Screening
Minnesota law requires that all children be screened prior to school enrollment. Three years old is the recommended age for this health and developmental screening. Screening helps identify children who may benefit from additional learning or health services before they enter kindergarten. This simple, free screening checks your child’s height, weight, vision, hearing, speech, and development. Your child’s immunizations will also be reviewed. If your child is 4 and has not yet been screened, please sign up for an appointment as soon as possible. For any questions, please call (952) 758-1674.
