New Prague Area Schools' Community Education offers a strong and well-rounded selection of academic and recreational opportunities for our area youth during their out of school time (before and after school, evenings, weekends and during the summer). Our programs offer affordable classes for children from birth to age 18.
The purpose of our youth programming is to build confidence, develop skills and knowledge, increase health and wellness, and encourage positive social interactions while promoting the development of the whole child. Some of the most popular youth classes include our science and art classes, Kids in the Kitchen, swim lessons, Driver's Education, and sports programs.
Community Education complements the school day with after school, evening, weekend, and summer opportunities to strengthen academic performance, encourage physical fitness, enhance creative thinking skills and develop new interests.
Community Education provides a wealth of summer and school year recreation and sports opportunities. Many of these are co-sponsored through Joint Powers Agreements with the City of Elko New Market and the City of New Prague.
Rec soccer is offered in New Prague and Elko New Market for children ages 4 through 5th grade. Players learn age appropriate skills and drills, and have an opportunity to scrimmage with other rec soccer teams.
